Why it's important to do the things you love
I don't remember a time when my dad discouraged me from doing things that I love, even if it disappoints some people. As a result, I've become closer to him. However, sadly enough, there have been people that I've been close to who discouraged me from doing what I love simply because they don't agree with it. As a result, I've drawn myself further from them. Ever since I was a small child I wanted to do something relating to music when I grow up. I did go through a phase though where I wanted to be a mushroom farmer...they were, to say the very least, very interesting times. But as I exited that phase, I became more involved in music and the arts. Music became my absolute passion and I never got sick of it. It was a cute little dream when I was in grade six, but in grade seven, things started getting ugly socially.
